The Best Pumpkin Protein Shake

My kids know it's fall the second this Pumpkin Portein Shake starts showing up in the morning. I started making this shake a few years ago when I created several seasonal protein shakes to enjoy all during the holiday season. They taste like a treat, but are a filling, protein-packed breakfast. Now my oldest asks for one before school almost every single day, and I don't mind one bit since it's basically a treat for breakfast.

Notes

Yield: 1 serving. Serving Size: 1 shake.
Pumpkin Butter:  I originally created this recipe using pumpkin butter, but swap it now for pumpkin puree since that's more common for people to have on hand. To use Pumpkin Butter, omit pumpkin puree, use 2 Tablespoons pumpkin butter, and just ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of nutmeg.
Gluten Free: Make sure the oats are certified gluten free.
