Meet the Grilled Chicken Sandwich of Summer

This Grilled Chicken Sandwich recipe is one of my favorite high protein recipes! The blackened seasoning on the chicken is so flavorful, and when you pile on that fresh guacamole, it just takes it to another level! It's ready in under 30 minutes, making it approachable any day. Whether you're feeding a crowd at a backyard BBQ or just throwing together a quick weeknight dinner, this sandwich never disappoints. Trust me, once you make this grilled chicken burger, it will become a grilling staple!

How to make a Grilled Chicken Sandwich:
Season Chicken: Stir together seasoning ingredients then sprinkle seasoning on each chicken breast on both sides.
Cook Chicken: Grill chicken for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through (165°F). Be careful not to overcook the chicken since this is the star of the sandwich! Remove the grilled chicken to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Assemble: Mash the avocado in a bowl and spritz with a little lemon juice. Place lettuce on the bottom bun then top with chicken, cheese, red onion, mashed avocado, and any other toppings you want! Place the top bun on and enjoy every single bite of your grilled chicken sandwich!
Side Dishes: I love to serve these with Street Corn Pasta Salad, Italian Pasta Salad, Apple Pecan Salad, Grilled Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, or Vinegar Coleslaw!
